Cornwall is rapidly becoming known as the 'Green Peninsular'. At a time when climate change and pollution are leading to far stricter environmental standards and efficiencies, there is a growing and diverse market for environmental technology which has already attracted a rapidly increasing cluster of innovative new environmental businesses to the county, over 160 at the last count, working in the production, design and distribution of new technologies. It is also soon to be home to the Wave Hub - the world's first wave energy farm off the coast of Cornwall. Cornwall's seas, skies and landscape provide an abundance of renewable and sustainable energy, while a wealth of technical expertise and dedicated business support is in place to help established and start-up companies succeed.
